Revel Consulting
Revel Consulting

Background
Founded in 2005, CRM Consultants provided clients with expert resources in IT integration, planning and resource management. Led by senior managers from Coca-Cola, Microsoft, and Accenture, the firm was responsive to demand for scalable, available consulting professionals with specific domain expertise.

After only three short years, the firm had grown steadily in size was offering services beyond CRM.

Challenge
The name CRM frustrated customer understanding of the scope, capability and strategic intent of the brand.

In a market with abundant competition, CRM sought to distance itself from the perception of "staff augmentation" firms and win strategic engagements from "Big Four" consulting brands.

Like many professional service firms, CRM was challenged to attract and retain senior level talent, absent significant market awareness and brand differentiation.

Outcome
Stoke led a research assignment that included interviewing company stakeholders and current/potential clients to establish a better understanding of the market’s perceptions of the firm’s breadth and capabilities.

Part of the brand strategy required de-positioning entrenched competitors with traditional consulting/solution integrator models. Stoke developed the "Pure Consulting" concept using water as a consistent visual device to communicate that Revel removes the barriers and impurities of traditional consulting that frustrate both clients and consulting professionals.

Stoke developed the company name, which is derived from revelation, revolution and revelry, to signal leaderships’ zeal for high-value, high-impact client engagements.

Stoke developed the visual identity, tagline, brand concept, sales and marketing collateral, branded merchandise, launch event and a new website with an integrated content management system.

In the year following the re-brand, Revel was named the #1 Fastest Growing Private Company in Washington State, and #48 Nationwide by Inc. magazine.
